Pat Riley, the longtime president of the Miami Heat, made sure to avoid the same fate during the Giannis Antetokounmpo introductory press conference on July 16.

During the media availability, Riley was asked about landing great players (hint: LeBron James). He began to retrace his legendary career naming off players he either played with, coached or helped acquire, like the "Heatles," Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Patrick Ewing, Shaquille O’Neal and more.

“I know that I was remiss in mentioning one guy, and I don’t wanna get knocked out,” Riley said, gesturing to Adebayo off to the side. “Bam was one of those guys who came in here, too."

This jab comes a week after the reported dust-up between Adebayo and former Heat player Tyler Herro, in which Adebayo is said to have punched Herro while both were in Las Vegas during the NBA Summer League games.

Will Bam get another superstar teammate?

Riley continued to praise Adebayo as a foundational member of the organization since his arrival in 2017. Riley also credited Adebayo with influencing the Giannis trade, due to their strong relationship.

Riley has also made indications about another big move and Heat fans are hoping to see the return of James.

James attended Fanatics Fest in New York City on July 16 where he recorded a live episode for his podcast, "Mind the Game." The question on everyone's mind was all the buzz.

Is LeBron going to announce where he's going?

Though James gave no confirmation, he hinted a decision was on the horizon saying he "won't hold you guys up too much longer." James also made it clear the decision wasn't just about him. He needed to figure out what was best for his family as well.
