NEW YORK - There's a bit of a twist to game two, as the Yankees try to avoid a doubleheader (and three-game series) sweep by the Dodgers.

Veteran lefty Ryan Yarbrough (2-0, 4.14 ERA) will serve as something of an opener for the Yanks, while the Dodgers counter with right-handed reliever Will Klein to kick off Sunday's 7:20 p.m. nightcap.
Appointed as the Yankees' "27th player'' for the second game, right-hander Elmer Rodriguez should be part of manager Aaron Boone's pitching relay at Yankee Stadium.
Following the Dodgers' 8-2 win in the opener, the Yanks optioned reliever Jake Bird to Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and recalled fellow right-hander Kervin Castro.
Bird threw 34 pitches in one-third of an inning during the opener (charged with five runs), while Camilo Doval threw 31 pitches in 1.2 innings.
But high-leverage relievers Brent Headrick and Fernando Cruz, and closer David Bednar, were not used this afternoon. That trio, along with Paul Blackburn, is available in the nightcap.
Here is the Yankees' lineup for the second game:
- Trent Grisham, CF
- Ben Rice, DH
- Paul Goldschmidt, 1B
- Cody Bellinger, LF
- Jasson Dominguez, RF
- Jazz Chisholm Jr., 2B
- Anthony Volpe, SS
- Austin Wells, C
- Jose Caballero, 3B
