2026 Big Sky Pro Rodeo Results: The Champions Crowned in Great Falls

Many professional rodeo contestants headed to Montana over the weekend to compete at the 2026 Big Sky Pro Rodeo. With the regular season winding down, the race to qualify for the NFR is only heating up from here.
In bareback riding, Brice Patterson topped the leaderboard with 85.5 points on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics' Camptown Lady, earning over $3,000. Clay Jorgenson finished second with an 83.5-point ride, while Trapper McAllister rounded out the top three with 82.5 points.

Steer wrestling was a two-head average, with Newt Novich taking top honors after recording a combined 8.9 seconds on his runs. Tel Blatter finished second with a 9.6-second aggregate, and Kris Anderson finished third with a 10.4-second aggregate.
Ben Folsom and Ike Folsom secured the win in team roping by a mere tenth of a second. Their 11.5-second two-head aggregate narrowly edged second place teams Jack Fischer and Scott Lauaki, as well as Brady Tryan and Derick Fleming.
Chase Brooks finished atop the saddle bronc riding with an 88-point ride on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics' Big Bay's Sister. Brooks currently sits ninth in the world standings and is looking to secure his seventh NFR qualification. Coleman Shallbetter finished just behind with an 87.5-point ride. While Shallbetter currently sits outside the Top 15 at 23rd, the season is far from over – he’s also sitting No. 2 in the Resistol Rookie Saddle Bronc Riding race.
Weston Hersel took the win in the tie-down roping by over half a second, turning in a two-head average time of 16.6 seconds. Jade Gardner finished second in 17.3 seconds, and Walker Warkentin rounded out the top three with a 17.9-second aggregate.
Gracen Harman laid down a blazing 15.53-second run in barrel racing to collect the Big Sky Pro Rodeo title and over $3,000. Shae Folsom finished second with a 15.56, and Taylor Manning finished third with a 15.57. In breakaway roping, Jacey Fortier topped the leaderboard with an incredible 1.8-second run. Taylor Engesser finished second with a 2.0-second run, and Taniah Nez finished third with a 2.1-second run.
Bull riding saw only two qualified rides to finish out the weekend. Gavin Knutson’s 90 point ride on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics' Off The Tracks earned him the championship and over $5,000, and Brad Moreno finished second with 83.5 points.
