SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A former Coyote may be the next man up for the Kansas City Chiefs defense.
Leo Chenal left Kansas City in free agency, leaving an opportunity for linebacker Jack Cochrane to establish himself alongside vets Drew Tranquil and Nick Bolton. Cochrane is entering his fifth season in the NFL after an All American career at the University of South Dakota.

“When guys go down, that might amp up a couple reps,” Cochrane said. “But you know, all of this is building blocks for the season so that’s kind of how I view it is that means a few more reps that could put me in a better position come fall. So just again, just being ready to go in and do whatever I need to do each day and try and focus on taking advantage of each opportunity.”
Cochrane and the Chiefs will face the Rams in their first preseason game on Saturday.
