Titans Improve to 2-0 in Preseason With Win over Seahawks
· Yahoo Sports
The Tennessee Titans finally got their chance to erase all the sloppiness from the win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 of the preseason.
There was positive momentum heading into the game after the Titans' performance in the joint practice against the Seattle Seahawks on Friday.

The offense looked smooth, especially on the ground. The defense came in and set the tone. Sam Darnold was even forced into throwing an interception, which was returned for a pick-six by Alontae Taylor.
It appears that the good vibes were only temporary, at least on defense. The Seahawks scored touchdowns on their first two offensive drives.
It started with a blown coverage by the secondary, which resulted in a touchdown for Cam Ward's former Miami teammate Elijah Arroyo. Backup quarterback Drew Lock uncorked a throw, and it was caught for a 36-yard touchdown.
The Titans continued their trend of moving the ball well on the first drive. The offense got into Seahawks territory but was stopped, settling for a field goal.
Joey Slye continues to be the most consistent scorer the Titans have.
The Seahawks then put seven more points on the board in just four plays. Jacardia Wright, the rookie out of Missouri State, took it 81 yards for a score. He was hardly touched by the Titans' defenders, if at all.
Luckily, the defense kept the Seahawks from scoring another touchdown in the first half.
After getting one turnover wiped off the board by a penalty from Cor'Dale Flott, the Titans finally got their first turnover of 2026.
The Titans' offense was stopped, and Tommy Townsend punted the ball away. Seahawks returner Cody White muffed the punt, and it was recovered by undrafted free agent Jalen McMurray.
The Titans were in prime position to score their first touchdown since the opening drive of the 49ers game. Mitchell Trubisky was in at that point and found Xavier Restrepo in the end zone after rolling out.
However, it was negated after a holding call from Jackson Slater.
Slye hit two more field goals, and the Titans went into halftime down 16-9.
Something to build on for the Titans was that Ward looked better than he did versus the 49ers. Ward and the starters were pulled after the first drive of the second quarter.
Ward finished his day going 8-of-12 for 69 passing yards. If he had hit Elic Ayomanor down the sideline or Gunnar Helm when he was rolling out, Ward could've finished with even more yards.
Still, it was positive growth.
Will Levis started the second half at quarterback.
After securing their first turnover of the year, the Titans' defense wasn't done. Rookie Anthony Hill Jr. read the crossing pattern the Seahawks were trying to run and intercepted Jalen Milroe.
Nothing noteworthy happened on offense until the fourth quarter. Slye hit yet another field goal at the start of the quarter to make it 16-12 Seahawks.
Levis and the offense then went on a 13-play scoring drive when they got the ball again after starting on their own 36.
The Titans even converted a 4th-and-2 after Levis took the ball himself and tumbled over a Seahawks defender. New Titans addition D'Ernest Johnson found the end zone one play later to give the Titans a 19-16 lead.
Hendon Hooker came in with just under four minutes left in the game as the Titans tried to pad their lead to secure the win.
Hooker led the offense inside the Seahawks' 10-yard line, and they were stopped on third down. Instead of taking the points, they decided to go for it on 4th-and-1 and were stuffed.
The Seahawks got the ball back and turned it over in one play, as Milroe threw another interception. This time, it was picked off by Derrick Canteen.
The Titans picked up one first down, and that was enough to beat the Seahawks in the preseason to improve to 2-0.
Tennessee ends the preseason with the Chicago Bears on Aug. 29 at Nissan Stadium.
