Week 1, which coincides with Labor Day, stretches matchups from Sept. 3, through Monday, Sept. 7, resulting in a marathon of games for college football fans that have waited months for a new year after Indiana defeated Miami in the national championship last season.
A pair of teams ranked in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll started their seasons on Sept. 3, with No. 25 Missouri beating Arkansas-Pine Bluff and No. 21 Utah defeating Idaho. Colorado shocked Georgia Tech with a walk-off blocked field goal and UMass pulled off a monster upset, beating Rutgers for the program's first win over a Power Four conference team since joining the FBS in 2012.

Other games will air exclusively on ESPN+ or Peacock, which are streaming-only platforms.
