The Watchung Hills High School football team not only scored an important opening-day win over South Brunswick in Week Zero, it did so by competing in all three phases, and junior Robert LoBozzo was front and center in all regards.
The junior had an impact on defense, snagging an interception in the 14-0 shutout win and caught a receiving touchdown, and added a pass breakup and tackle from his corner position.

He is the MyCentralJersey.com Football Player of the Week.
“Robert has gone from a one-way player as a sophomore last year to a guy that never comes off the field for defense, offense and special teams this year as a junior,” Watchung Hills coach Joe Ascolese said. “He’s tough, he loves football, and he is the type of kid who will run through a brick wall for you. I am glad that he was able to contribute in so many ways in our season-opening victory at South Brunswick.”
