After taking a shot, Hoover's face turned into a crimson mask, blood dripping from his nose, onto his chinstrap, jersey and uniform.
Hoover the Hoosier didn't blink, throwing a TD pass to Charlie Becker, who made a spectacular catch in the back of the end zone.
Hoover was looked at on the sidelines, checked for a concussion and went back into the game with his nose bandaged and continued to lead the defending national champs in their season opener.
