Eckert provides latest update on injured Southampton star
Southampton boss Tonda Eckert says Caspar Jander is targeting a return against Wrexham next Saturday after suffering a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The 23-year-old has not played this season after being forced off during Saints’ opening pre-season friendly against Eastleigh.

Jander will again be unavailable for Southampton’s game against Bristol City, with Eckert admitting his return has been pushed back slightly.
“For Caspar it will be too early tomorrow,” Eckert said. “We’re going to push, so hopefully it will be some minutes against Wrexham.
“We have to delay it a little bit but I think he’s on his way now.”
