Rams' top safety suffers ankle injury vs. 49ers
· Yahoo Sports
Kam Curl has become one of the most important players on defense for the Los Angeles Rams, both as a leader and playmaker on the back end. He suffered an ankle injury in the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night, exiting in the second half of the game.
Curl is officially questionable to return and has been replaced by Jaylen McCollough at safety. Curl started all 17 games for the Rams last year and played 99% of the defensive snaps, the second straight year he's been over 90%.

Before going down, Curl had two tackles in the game.
Fortunately, the Rams have excellent depth at safety with Kamren Kinchens, Quentin Lake and McCollough, with Josh Wallace also being able to play the position.
