Whenever the NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams square off, there's bound to be some fireworks. To add to this year's intrigue, the two teams met in Week 1 for an international game held in Australia, with the Rams entering the season as one of the Super Bowl favorites. And for some members of the media and fans, that preseason hype brought out some fiery takes about the 49ers' chances of picking up a Week 1 victory.

So after the 49ers shockingly rolled to a dominant 27-7 victory while holding quarterback Matthew Stafford to just 155 passing yards, the fanbase had plenty to say on social media. And for one of the largest 49ers fan accounts, they came for the postgame celebration with some receipts, in video form.

It's hard not to appreciate a little trash talk after beating a rival, especially in the fashion that the 49ers did against the Rams. Not only did San Francisco keep the Rams offense in check, but it also mostly kept L.A.'s talented defense from causing too much chaos, including star offseason acquisition Myles Garrett, who had no tackles or quarterback hits on Brock Purdy.

When you hear the love for the Rams all week, and the defense holds one of the most explosive offenses in the league to just 290 total yards, it earns you the right to up the trash-talk game a bit. The two teams won't square off again until Week 14, so we'll see how the season comes together for both sides ahead of that matchup.
