Flamengo goalkeeper Agustín Rossi recently criticized the stadium’s field, saying it’s “unbelievable” that his team is playing on it.
“You don’t even need to talk about the field, it’s there for everyone to see. The way we play, it’s unbelievable that we’re playing on a field like this,” Rossi said, via Mauricio Rodriguez of AtoZSports.com.
Rossi added that there are bumps everywhere on the field and hopes it will be in better shape once the game is played.
It’s definitely not something these two teams want to hear, especially since the game is eight days away. As of this writing, the game is still scheduled to be played inside the stadium.
The Cowboys are the designated home team for the contest, making the Ravens the designated road team. We’ll see if the field improves over the next week before the game.
Before that game kicks off, the Cowboys will try to get their first win of the season on Sunday against the Washington Commanders. The Ravens will try to get their second win of the year against the New Orleans Saints.
Sunday’s Cowboys-Commanders game starts at 4:25 p.m. ET, while the Ravens-Saints game starts at 1 p.m. ET.
