Roxanne Perez has three weeks to force her way into the WWE Money in the Bank ladder match. Three spots in the women’s field remain open ahead of the October 10 premium live event, and Perez gets her shot at one of them on Monday.

Sol Ruca claimed the first women’s spot on the September 7 Raw, beating Lyra Valkyria and Maxxine Dupri. Lola Vice followed on September 14 in Mexico City, defeating Raquel Rodriguez and NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan. Jacy Jayne took the third place on SmackDown.
Three places are still open. WWE has announced Perez against IYO SKY and La Catalina in a triple threat qualifier on the September 21 Raw, with more qualifiers set for the September 25 SmackDown.
A Rough 2026 For The Prodigy

Ringside News noted that her 2026 record reflects a long run of losses across 25 matches.
Surgery cost the Laredo native months early in the year. Perez last competed at the Royal Rumble before the procedure and returned to Raw in the spring.
Momentum arrived from outside WWE. The Prodigy won a fatal four-way at AAA Triplemania 34 on September 11 in Las Vegas. Beating Natalya, Faby Apache, and La Hiedra made her number one contender for the Reina de Reinas Championship, and she challenges La Catalina for that title at Worlds Collide on September 26 in Rosemont, five days after the two meet in the Raw qualifier.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce had announced the rematch on the previous night’s SmackDown, after The Judgment Day, Perez included, cost Vaquer the title on Raw. The belt still changed hands off television, on a night nobody expected a title change.
Chelsea Green holds the WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown after winning the SummerSlam Night 2 ladder match on August 2. WWE recognised the win as a lineal title change on September 11, retroactively ending Rhea Ripley’s injured reign.
Perez sits on Raw, which puts Vaquer and the Women’s World Championship in range for any contract she might carry out of New Orleans.

Perez won the first Women’s Breakout Tournament, became the inaugural ROH Women’s World Champion at 19, held the NXT Women’s Championship at 21, and lasted an hour and seven minutes in a Royal Rumble. None of that has produced a singles title on the main roster.
A ladder match is the correct vehicle for fixing that. Perez is 24, she has been on Raw since early 2025, and she still draws a reaction that most of the roster cannot buy. Another year of losing television matches wastes the one thing WWE cannot manufacture.
The Vaquer title change is the opening. A champion who won the belt at a live event in Chile, in front of a crowd that did not know it was coming, has a reign that needs definition. A Perez cash-in months down the line gives both women a story worth telling, and the two already have history after The Judgment Day cost Vaquer that same title on Raw.
The briefcase fixes nothing on its own, and a botched cash-in can do more damage than another loss. Perez has earned the chance to find out either way. A win over IYO SKY and La Catalina on Monday, a contract in New Orleans, and the Women’s World Championship to follow is the path WWE should be walking.
