Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were detained by the Delhi Police during the Opposition’s protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to demand Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. This is the third time in less than two days that the leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha was detained.

Moments before the police removed Gandhi from the protest site, they lathi-charged workers of the Indian Youth Congress and members of the National Students’ Union of India, which are affiliated to the Congress.
