Parayko has never played for another team in his NHL career thus far. He made his debut in the league with St. Loouis in 2015, three years after St. Louis selected him in the third round of the 2012 NHL Draft. Through the years, he won a Stanley Cup with St. Louis in 2019 and was named into the 2015-16 NHL All-Rookie Team.
Parayko broked his tie and passed Barret Jackman on the all-time list, accomplishing the feat during the Blues’ first home game of the season. He still has a long way to go to break the all-time Blues record for games played with the team. Bernie Federko owns the mark with 927 games played.
But Parayko is also bound to play a whole lot more games in St. Louis colors, having signed an eight-year, $52 million extension in 2021 with the Blues. That contract includes a full no-trade clause from 2o22 to 2027 and a 15-team no-trade list for the 2028-29 campaign.
The Blues entered the Sharks game with a 1-2-0 record and on a two-game losing streak.
