· Yahoo Sports
Who knew specialty toasted cheese sandwiches from Sizzler could bring a big win for the Victor Valley College Rams softball team?
After selling hundreds of Cheese Toast Patty Melts and Cheese Toast Malibu Melts, the Sizzler restaurant in Hesperia raised $1,609.10 for the softball club in Victorville.

The donation came from sandwiches sold during Sizzler's nationwide Cheese Toast Month program in September, which generated more than $80,000 this year for charities and organizations across the country.
The softball team said the donation will go directly toward funding spirit packs, equipment, team trips, and more.
The Rams softball schedule includes:
- Oct. 20 - Softball Hitting Clinic for ages 14 and older.
- Oct. 23 and 24 - Thriller Tournament in Palmdale
- Oct. 29 - at Barstow College
- Nov. 12 - at home versus Barstow College
