Rafael Navarro has outscored Lionel Messi over the same stretch. Since joining St. Louis City, the Brazilian forward has scored seven goals in six matches — two more than Messi managed for Inter Miami in that span.
His latest show came against LA Galaxy, in a 6-2 rout during MLS Matchday 28. Navarro scored twice and set up two more, directly involved in four of the six goals.

The No. 9 opened the scoring sequence, setting up Carlo Holse twice before the Dane completed his hat-trick before halftime. Navarro then converted a penalty in the 45th minute and added another in the 53rd, finishing inside the box to push St. Louis City further ahead.
Golden Boot race
Navarro now has 18 goals this season, 17 of them in MLS play, putting him third in the league's Golden Boot standings. He arrived at St. Louis City after spells with Botafogo, Palmeiras and the Colorado Rapids.
"It was a magical night and one of the most complete performances of my career," Navarro said. "I am very happy to be able to help with goals and assists, but the most important thing is seeing the team maintain this consistency and this unbeaten run."
Unbeaten streak continues
The win extended St. Louis City's unbeaten run to 20 games. The club sits second in the Western Conference, one point behind the Vancouver Whitecaps, with Navarro now the focal point of an offense chasing the top of the table.
