Kyle Kuzma attacked one of former US President Barack Obama’s recent speeches in Michigan, calling him out for indulging in identity politics.
The new NBA season has begun but that doesn’t mean Kyle Kuzma is no longer paying attention to what is going on in the country. The Milwaukee Bucks star has spoken openly on social media over the offseason about issues ranging from AI to economics, to politics.

Kuzma is from Flint, Michigan. His home state is currently a key battleground ahead of the November 3 midterm elections. For the Democrats, former President Barack Obama is back on the campaign trail, rallying support for Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson and others. And the NBA star took exception to one of his recent speeches.
Kyle Kuzma calls out Barack Obama for running a ‘desperate psyop’ in Michigan
In one of his recent speeches during the campaign, Obama referenced Michigan’s junior senator Elissa Slotkin, who has been campaigning alongside El-Sayed. The former US President spoke about how having a ‘Muslim man’ and a ‘Jewish woman’ representing them would be good for the state.
Kuzma didn’t enjoy this line of rhetoric from Obama whatsoever, and harshly called it out on a post in X.
“This desperate psyop is unbearable to watch in Michigan,” Kuzma said. “So tired of listening to it. 1 in 4 black people in Michigan are below the poverty line and the message is Muslim/Jewish duo is what we’re talking about.
“Last thing that Michiganders care about is a religious identity pitch. And on top of that Michigan is a state where the population of Muslims and Jews are both 1 percent. What are we talking about?”
This is clearly something that Kuzma feels really strongly about. The Bucks man seems quite motivated in terms of discussing various issues of this nature, although fans may want him to care more about the team’s 0-3 start to the new season.
