The team agreed to trade eight-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick, according to multiple reports.
Nelson, 30, is in the final year of a four-year, $80 million contract extension that at the time made him the league's highest-paid guard.
Amid speculation he could be moved before the Nov. 10 trade deadline, Nelson said he was trying to keep his focus on his play.
“I love it here, I met my wife here, I really appreciate and love this organization,” Nelson said. “It’s been a long career here, made a lot of friendships and bonds here that I don’t take for granted.”
Nelson stabilizes a Seattle front that allowed Sam Darnold to be sacked five times in the two games prior to Sunday's win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
