Mina Kimes’ Captionless Post After Chiefs’ Justin Tucker Signing Sparks Reactions

The Kansas City Chiefs’ decision to sign veteran NFL kicker Justin Tucker to their practice squad has caught a lot of people by surprise, especially because of his history — off the field.

Visit esporist.org for more information.

Tucker was cut by the Baltimore Ravens in May of 2025 amid sexual misconduct accusations from over a dozen massage therapists. He was later suspended for 10 games by the NFL before being eligible for reinstatement last November.

Tucker was able to get tryouts with the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts since, but wasn’t signed.

On Thursday, it was reported that the Chiefs were signing Tucker to a practice squad contract, a move that raised eyebrows.

Following the news of Tucker’s addition to the Chiefs’ practice squad, ESPN’s Mina Kimes posted on X without a caption, attaching a screenshot of a report detailing the accusations against the kicker.

Kimes didn’t need a caption to sum up what she really feels about this development involving the Chiefs and Tucker.

It also clearly turned heads online, with nearly 40,000 likes and over a thousand comments made on her post at the time of this writing.

Chiefs Add Tucker as Insurance Behind Struggling First Option

Kansas City felt it had to add another kicker as insurance amid the struggles of Harrison Butker.

So far in the 2026 NFL season, Butker has gone 11/16 on his field-goal tries, and two of his misses came in Week 7’s 20-3 Kansas City loss to the reigning Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks on the road.

What’s interesting, however, is that Tucker wasn’t great either in the most recent season he played in the NFL. In 2024, he went 22/30 on his kicks for a 73.3 percent success rate — the lowest of his career.

Kansas City enters Week 8 of the 2026 season with a 5-1 record and will face the Denver Broncos in a road game this coming Sunday.
