Rams’ Quentin Lake calls out Chargers’ QB Justin Herbert

The Los Angeles Chargers are a hot mess. They’re 0-7-0 this year, and there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Opponents are taking shots at Justin Herbert now.
The Chargers’ quarterback has had a terrible year, and every week people are calling for offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel to be fired. The offense can’t get anything going and hasn’t scored more than 17 points in three straight games. Some trade conversations have even mentioned Herbert’s name.

He didn’t hold back on his criticism of Herbert:
“I mean, he was throwing deli meat out there. Bro. He’s seeing ghosts… He’s seeing ghosts…I don’t know what’s going on, but, like, we knew we were going to get a couple.. we knew we were going to – at least one”

Lake did get an interception off of Herbert, but it’s still wild to see a player go at another play he did. Herbert threw to picks in the game and was sacked twice. The Chargers couldn’t score a touchdown in the game and haven’t thrown a touchdown pass in two straight games.

Lake wasn’t wrong about the Oregon product potentially seeing hosts. He has thrown 10 interceptions this year while only throwing five touchdown passes.
Would the Chargers trade Herbert? It’s hard to find a good quarterback in the NFL, and the 28-year-old has proven that he can be a functional quarterback. He just hasn’t been a QB that you can trust to win in the playoffs.
The Chargers will look to get their first win of the season when they square off against the Houston Texans on November 8.
