The memorial – entitled "Forever 20" – was designed by Emma Rodgers. Its center features a "flowing heart sculpture," which serves as an acknowledgement of Jota's iconic goal celebration.
The sculpture also contains within it the lyrics to the popular chant Liverpool fans sang in support of Jota during his playing days. And from different angles, the memorial reveals the numbers 20 and 30, a nod to the respective jersey numbers of each brother.

Jota and Silva died in a car accident on July 3, 2025 while driving from Portugal to Santander, Spain, when the 28-year-old winger planned to catch a ferry to England to return to training with Liverpool, according to Sky Sports. He was under medical advice not to fly after having minor lung surgery in his home country.
While driving on the highway, the car suffered a tire blowout, causing the vehicle to swerve off the road and burst into flames. Both men were declared dead at the scene, at ages 28 and 25 respectively.
Jota made 123 appearances across six seasons at Liverpool before his death, netting 47 goals for the squad. He also made 49 appearances for Portugal in international competition, scoring 14 goals, and was expected to contend for a spot on the country's 26-man roster for the 2026 World Cup.
Silva never played for Liverpool or the Portuguese national team but spent three years playing for Portugal club Penafiel before his death. He logged six goals in 59 appearances for the team.
