NBA legend Charles Barkley’s time with ESPN and Inside the NBA may come to a quick end.

Last season, Inside the NBA officially moved on from TNT Sports as the show started airing on ESPN.
Despite the networks changing, the show retained its entire crew, i.e., Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson, and Kenny Smith.
But after just one season, two out of the iconic four co-hosts may call it quits on their broadcasting careers.

Barkley recently joined ‘The Bill Simmons podcast,’ where the NBA legend shared the truth about his and Johnson’s future on Inside the NBA.
Chuck revealed that Johnson, 70, is retiring. But how does this impact Barkley’s future? Well, he just explained that to Bill Simmons.
“Me and Ernie are a package deal. So right now, unless Ernie changes his mind, next year is my last year 100 percent,” Barkley said.
Right now, Johnson has no plans to return to the show and it will likely mean the network replacing him with another co-host.
But the more difficult task will be to replace Barkley, as his razor-sharp takes and incredible chemistry with his co-hosts is hard to find.
