Milwaukee Bucks sign Jake Stephens, Myles Turner named NBPA VP

The Milwaukee Bucks open training camp on Sept. 29 and continued to add to their roster for the three-week camp by signing big man Jake Stephens.
Stephens, 26, most recently played in 61 games with KK Split in the Croatian A-1 and Adriatic ABA leagues. He averaged 9.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in about 16 minutes per game while shooting 54.2% from the field.

The 6-foot-11 center played four seasons at the Virginia Military Institute from 2018-22 and played one season at Tennessee-Chattanooga (2022-23) before going undrafted in 2023. His first season as a professional was spent in the G League, playing 41 games for the Capital City Go-Go and Stockton Kings.
In the 2024-25 season he played 28 games with Monbus Obradoiro in the Spanish Primera FEB and FMP Beograd in the Adriatic League ABA.
Schuyler Rimmer named Wisconsin Herd head coach
The Bucks organization named Schuyler Rimmer as the head coach of the Wisconsin Herd, after Rimmer was originally announced as an assistant coach on Taylor Jenkins' staff in Milwaukee. According to the organization, he will serve in both capacities for the 2026-27 season.
Rimmer was an assistant coach for the NBA G League's Maine Celtics last season.
Myles Turner elected NBPA vice president
Bucks center Myles Turner was elected as a vice president for the National Basketball Players Association, and he begins a three-year term in that capacity immediately. Turner joins Karl-Anthony Towns (New York), Gabe Vincent (free agent), Santi Aldama (Dallas), Jaylen Brown (Philadelphia) and Trey Murphy III (New Orleans) as vice presidents of the union.
In a statement released by the union, Turner said, “I am thrilled to join the executive committee at such a pivotal time for our league and am prepared to take on this leadership role within the PA. It's an honor to be voted in bymy peers, and I am committed to advancing the priorities that matter most to the players across theleague.”
